Alan C. Witherite

Alan Charles “Chuckie” Witherite, 64, of Salamanca, NY died unexpectedly Thursday, April 21, 2022 at home.

Born April 23, 1957 in Spangler, PA, he was the son of Ruth Barrett Witherite of Salamanca and the late Charles T. Witherite. He was married on April 12, 1985 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the former Stephanie Crouse, who survives. He and “Steffie Sue” had a special bond and shared a love that people search a lifetime for.

He was a graduate of Randolph High School, Class of 1975.

Alan had been a self-employed carpenter and electrician for over 20 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, family vacations, and homecooked meals. He also enjoyed going to the movies and concerts, listening to music, and playing guitar in various bands throughout his life. He loved the outdoors, especially going to the beach and riding through Amish country. He was a part of the Bills Mafia. Chuckie was a one-of-a-kind guy that had the best one-liners, was witty like no other, and loved to make everyone laugh. He was a friend to everyone he knew, went above and beyond for his family, and would stop at nothing to make them happy.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are: two daughters, Ariane (Daryl) Hudson, Kill Buck, NY, Alyssa Witherite, West Seneca, NY; a granddaughter, Oakley Hope Hudson; two grandsons, Tristyn Alan Hudson and Jaedyn Erik Hudson, all of Kill Buck, NY; a sister, Janice (Randy) Biscup, Randolph, NY; several nieces and nephews; two family pets, Gizmo and Ruby.

He was predeceased by a sister, Terry Witherite.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
