Alma F. Fisher

Alma F. Fisher, 89, of Salamanca, NY, died Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at home following a short illness.

Born March 12, 1936 in Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Woodworth and Ruby Miner. She was married in Salamanca, NY on April 22, 1955 to Frank Fisher, who survives.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1954. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses, Salamanca, NY and was active in her Ministry.

Alma had been a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, knitting for everyone, and will be remembered for hosting and cooking during various family gatherings. She also enjoyed the outdoors, walking in Allegany State Park, hayrides, traveling, making car trips down south to visit her family.

Surviving besides her husband are: two sons, Russell (Mirta) Fisher, Kill Buck, NY, James (Darren) Fisher, Salamanca, NY; two daughters, Peggy Lowry, Bolivar, NY, JodiAnne (Chad) Adams, Kingston, GA; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, Robert Fisher and David Fisher.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 300 Central Avenue, Salamanca, NY on Tuesday, June 30, 2025 at 2pm.
