Betty Flanigan

Mrs. Betty K. Flanigan, age 72, of 49 Murray Avenue, Salamanca, New York, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York.

Born on May 27, 1938, in Bradford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester & Bernice Meacham Butler. She was married on September 3, 1955, in Holy Name of Mary Church, Ellicottville, New York to Mr. William Flanigan who predeceased her on September 4, 2004.

Mrs. Flanigan did child care at her home for many years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.

Surviving are: 3 daughters, Noreen (Michael) DeBoy, Salamanca, New York, Diane (Jeffrey) Stahlman, Bradford, Pa., Darlene (Tom) Previglian, Salamanca, New York; 2 sons, William (Susan) Flanigan, Greenfield, New York, David (Debbie) Flanigan, Bath, ME; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Darryl) Mackey, Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Kay Flanigan.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York, on Thursday, January 20, 2011, from 4-7 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11 AM in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
