Carlton Farmer

Carlton David Farmer, 48, of Salamanca, NY died Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital following a long illness.

Born October 12, 1973 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Carlton and Marjorie Cooper Farmer. He was married on October 20, 2001 to the former Judy Reiller, who survives.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Heron Clan.

He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1993.

Carlton served as a police officer with the Seneca Nation Police Department, Gowanda Police Department, and Village of Cattaraugus Police Department, and as a Deputy with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department. He had also been employed as an inspector with Seneca Nation Gaming for over five years and had held multiple positions within the Seneca Nation for several years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, and golfing. He was an avid football, hockey, and baseball fan who enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Yankees with his sons at home in his man cave. His sons and grandsons meant the world to him.

Surviving besides his wife are: four sons, Christian (Chelce Finch) Reiller, Cole Farmer, Camden Farmer, Carlton Farmer III, all of Salamanca, NY; three grandsons, Christian, Brooks, and Rowen Reiller, all of Salamanca, NY; two brothers, Michael (Laura) Bevan, Buffalo, NY, Christopher Bevan, Salamanca, NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister, Leslee Farmer.

Friends may call at the family home, 149 South Main Street, Salamanca, NY beginning on Saturday afternoon, October 8, 2022 and continuing all day Sunday.

Funeral services will be held at the family home on Monday at 9am with members of the Coldspring Longhouse officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
