Dakota Lytel

Mr. Dakota Lytel, 34, of Steamburg, NY died Tuesday evening, April 18, 2017.

Born April 1, 1983 in Olean, NY, he was the son of Dennis (Victoria) Lytel of Steamburg, NY and the late Lori Redeye. He was married on June 29, 2013 to the former Tamara Stafford, who survives.

He was employed in Security at Highbanks Camp Grounds. He had also been employed as a Union Construction Worker.

Mr. Lytel was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, the Turtle Clan. He was an amazing cook.

Surviving besides his father and his wife are: 6 step-children, Carmen (Trav) Bollinger, KY, Emily (Andrew Skye) White, Salamanca, NY, Bradley (Lexi) White, Cattaraugus Territory, Megan White, Allegany Territory, Jarod White, Allegany Territory, Francis White Jr., Steamburg, NY; 9 step-grandchildren; a brother, Jason (Brenda) Lytel, Buffalo, NY; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the family home, 343 North Loop, Steamburg, NY, on Thursday evening, April 20, 2017 after 7 p.m. and all day Friday.

Funeral services will held in the family home on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, NY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
