Eric John

Mr. Eric L. "Bink" John, age 58, of Old Route 17, Salamanca, New York died Thursday evening, October 28, 2010 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York following a long illness.

Born on August 16, 1952 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Leo John Sr. and Vivian Warrior John Martin.

Mr. John was employed with the Seneca Hawk, the former Chief's Pit Stop, Seneca Nation Housing Authority for over 5 years and Bush Industries.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and was an avid sports fan, especially the Buffalo Bills.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Beaver Clan.

Surviving are: a sister, Nancy John-Sutton, Jimersontown, New York; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Leo John Jr., Craig John, and a sister, Elaine John.

Friends may call at the family home of Nancy John-Sutton, 3728 Center Road, Jimersontown, New York beginning Friday afternoon, all day Saturday.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday* morning at 10 A.M. in the family home with Speakers from the Cold Spring Long House.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, New York.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
