Gary L. Wroblewski

Gary L. Wroblewski, 78, of Allegany, NY died Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Bradford Manor, Bradford, PA following a long illness.

Born June 6, 1944 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late James E. and Dorothy F. Meyer Knight.

He was a graduate of Cattaraugus High School, Class of 1962.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving three tours in Vietnam.

Gary had been employed at the former Salamanca Nursing Home, the former Salamanca Farm & Fleet store, and as a foreman with the former King Windows in Little Valley, NY.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Chicago Cubs fan.

Surviving are: four daughters, Tammy Stalkner, Philadelphia, PA, Rebecca (Stephanie) Lafever, Elizabeth Wroblewski, Jessica (Elijah Christian) Wroblewski, all of Indiana; five granddaughters, Amber, Sarah, Kaylee, Jezza, Cammie; three grandsons, Dante, Dmitri, Brayden; two great-grandsons, Maddox and Ezra; two brothers, James Knight, East Otto, NY, Paul (Tammy) Knight, Salamanca, NY; a sister, Debra (Kevin McLarney) Lamberson, Kill Buck, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Shelamer Wroblewski, and a granddaughter, Danielle Gaudioso.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Lonto officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.

Full military honors will be conducted by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post 5296.
