Judith Cooper Redeye

Judith Cooper Redeye, age 67, of Erie Street, Salamanca, New York died Wednesday morning, November 17, 2010 at The Absolute of Salamanca following a long illness.

Born on August 18, 1943 in Salamanca, New York , she was the daughter of the late Vernon Cooperand Mamie Dowdy Jones. She was married to Mr. James W. Redeye Sr. who predeceased her on June 23, 1980.

She was a bus driver for the Seneca Nation of Indians Head Start. She had many Department jobs within the Seneca Nation and also had worked at the former Fancher Furniture Company.

Judith was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, the Turtle Clan, she enjoyed bingo, quilt work, and she loved the outdoors.

Surviving are: 2 sons, James (Regina) Redeye Jr., Jimersontown, Stewart (Darin) Redeye, III, Killbuck, New York; 2 daughters, Marjory (John) Newark, Erie Street, Salamanca, New York, Annmarie Redeye, Fredonia, New York; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn (John)Cooper, Salamanca, New York; 2 brothers, Tim Jones, Salamanca, New York, Curtis (Sally) Watt, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Redeye and a brother, Richard Cooper.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY, on Thursday from 2-9 P.M.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 1 P.M. with Kevin John officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, New York.
