Louise A. Hyson

Mrs. Louise A. Hyson, 83, of Salamanca, New York died early Saturday morning, (February 21, 2015) at the Cuba Memorial Hospital

Born October 29, 1931 in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Emmons and Elta Waltz Frank. She was married on June 30, 1951to the Edward A. Hyson, who predeceased her in 1971.

Mrs. Hyson was employed as a nurse at the former Salamanca District Hospital and the Salamanca Nursing Home, was a substitue teacher for the Salamanca School System and played organ and piano at various churches.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mizpah Chapter # 162, , a former Girl Scout Leader and a Den Mother for the cub scouts.

Surviving are 3 Sons, Steven (Denise) Hyson, Philadelphia, PA, Tim (Kathy John) Hyson, Great Valley, NY, Paul (Joelle) Hyson, Little Valley, NY; 2 daughters; Gail (Jim) Hostuttler, Millport, NY, Judy (Brett) Lefford, Little Valley, NY; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several extended family members.

She was predeceased by a son Russell Hyson.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Friday (February 27, 2015) from 1:00 - 4:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 am when funeral services will be held with the Rev. Daniel Buringrud, pastor of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Allegany, New York officiating.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.

The family suggests memorials to Salamanca Public Library, American Cancer Society or Home Care and Hospice. .
