Margaret Marinari

Margaret Marinari, age 82, formerly of 216 East State Street, Salamanca, New York died Thursday evening, June 21, 2012 at the Absolut of Salamanca.

Born on September 17, 1929 in Olean, New York, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mellina Bucciarelli Marinari.

Margaret owned and operated Marinari's Corner Store on East State Street, Salamanca for many years after the death of her parents. She had also been employed as a Secretary for Judge Dowd and the former Kelly & Monighan Law Firm, as a Teller at the former First National Bank, and as a clerk at the Salamanca Public Library prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family. She was loved and adored by four nieces and one nephew. Beverly Zoccali was her friend and traveling companion.

Surviving are 4 nieces, Helena (Terry) Pennell, Salamanca, NY, Lynette (Michael) Koscielski, Derby, NY, Brenda (Greg) Ballachino, Springville, NY, and Patty (Robert) Stables, Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada; a nephew, Thomas (Margaret) Marinari Jr., Macedon, NY; several great nieces and nephews, 5 great-great nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Marinari, Salamanca, New York.

She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Marinari Sr.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 4-7 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012 at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
