Mary Rettberg

Mrs. Mary E. Rettberg, age 98, of Erie Street, Salamanca, New York died Tuesday morning, November 2, 2010 at the Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born on September 10, 1912, in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Agnes Potzlienicz Milanowski. She was married on January 30, 1940 to Mr. William Rettberg who predeceased her on February 28, 1999.

Mrs. Rettberg was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, the Altar & Rosary Society, she was a volunteer at the former Salamanca District Hospital, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the UTU.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Galbraith, 2 brothers, George Milanowski and Joseph Milanowski.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Thursday from 4-7 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
