Raymond "Randy" Riley

Mr. Raymond “Randy” Riley, 64, of Great Valley, NY died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 26, 1953 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth “Jane” Flynn Riley. He was married in 2005 to the former Laura Whitcomb, who survives. Previously, he had been married to the former Kimberlee Reed, who predeceased him on November 28, 2000.

Mr. Riley was a graduate of Salamanca High School Class of 1971.

He was employed by Fibercel in Portville, NY for over 25 years as the Plant Engineering and IT Specialist, where he played an integral part in the design and setting up of production facilities in both their Portville and Tennessee plants. Previously, he had been employed at Bush Industries in the Engineering Department.

Randy was a mentor to many and enjoyed sharing his extensive knowledge of all things electric. His hobbies included skiing, ATVs, golf, and remodeling both his own homes and those of various friends and family members.

Surviving besides his wife are: a son Jonathan (Gosha) Riley, Erie, PA; a daughter, Kelsey (Scott Edwards) Riley, Jamestown NY; two stepsons, Michael Wind, New Castle , DE, Brian (Traci Reed) Wind, Little Valley, NY; three grandchildren, Joey Riley, Matthew Riley, Tucker Riley, all of Erie, PA; three brothers, Terence (Darlene) Riley, Tempe, AZ, James (Sandra) Riley, Buffalo, NY, Shawn Riley, Pensacola, FL; mother-in-law, Mary W. Pietrylo; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Great Valley Volunteer Fire Hall from 12 - 3 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
