Watson M. Cooper

Watson M. Cooper, 23, of Salamanca, New York died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, New York.

Born April 20, 1993 in Olean, New York, he was the son of Jason Cooper and Kelli Taylor, both of Salamanca, New York.

He attended Salamanca High School.

He had been employed in the maintenance department at HoliMont in Ellicottville, New York.

Watson enjoyed being with his daughters. He was an avid and ace lacrosse player, playing in many area leagues and tournaments.

Surviving besides his parents are: two daughters, Jaelynn Cooper and Quinn Cooper, Perrysburg, NY; four sisters, Samantha Miller, Salamanca, NY, Kayla Taylor, Salamanca, NY, Cheylene (Zach Crogen) Cooper, Tuscarora Reservation, Jasona Cooper, Salamanca, NY; two brothers, Chandler Cooper and Marcus Cooper, both of Salamanca, NY; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Taylor, Salamanca, NY; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew.

He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Sylvia John and Richard Cooper, and an aunt, Lisa Cooper.

Friends may call at the home of Glenda Taylor, 8056 Old Route 17, Salamanca, New York beginning Tuesday evening and continuing all day Wednesday.

Longhouse services will be held at the house on Thursday at 9 a.m.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg ,New York.
