William Hoermle

Mr. William L. Hoermle, age 67, residing on Hancock Street, Salamanca, New York, formerly of Underwood Manor, Hinsdale, New York and Columbus, Ohio, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 following a short illness.

Born on September 27, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Wilbur and Mildred Watson Hoermle.

Mr. Hoermle was employed as a Conductor with ConRail Railroad for over 30 years starting in Columbus, Ohio and retiring in Buffalo, New York.

He enjoyed bicycling, snow skiing, and enjoyed reading about history.

Surviving are: 2 daughters, Mrs. Sonia (Jon) Sertick, Olean, New York, Lisa Evans, Columbus, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; a brother, Robert (Louise) Hoermle, Mechanicsburg, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 2 sisters, June Davis, Ginger Hoermle, a brother, Wilbur “Bud” Hoermle

Friends may attend a memorial service at the Schoedinger Funeral Home, Hilltop Chapel, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:00 A.M..
