Mr. William “Dale” Jacoby, age 86 , of Mutton Hollow Rd., Great Valley, New York died Wednesday evening, February 25, 2009 at The Pines, Olean, New York

Born on January 10, 1923 in Bradford, Pa. he was the son of the late Harold and Mildred Hardy Jacoby. He was married on May 31, 1946 to the former Dorothy I. Harrison who survives.

Mr. Jacoby was a retired truck driver.

He enjoyed his family, camping, and bowling.

Surviving besides his wife are: 4 daughters, Dorothy “ Ann” Imhoff, Bradford, Pa., Carol J. (Dennis)Daly, Cattaraugus, New York, Alice (Dennis) Brewer, Killbuck, New York, Judy E. Jacoby, at home; a son, William H. (Chris)Jacoby, Great Valley, New York; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a brother, LaVern “Jake” (Sandra) Jacoby, Limestone, New York.

He was predeceased by a brother, Harold F. Jacoby, a sister, Phyllis Patterson, and a grandson, Denny D. Daly.

There will be no visitation.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The American Heart Association.
