Arthur R. "Jim" Jimerson

Arthur R. "Jim" Jimerson, age 68, of the Absolute of Salamanca, formerly of the Cattaraugus Reservation, died Saturday evening, July, 13 2013, following a long illness.

Born February 2, 1945, in Gowanda, New York, he was the son Raymond and Muriel Kettle Jimerson

Mr. Jimerson was a member of the Tonawanda Seneca Tribe and the Turtle Clan.

He worked in Gowanda, New York for many years, performing maintenance and cleaning services.

He enjoyed music, and playing his guitar. He also liked to drive around and visit people.

Surviving are: 3 daughters of Tonawanda, New York; 1 sister, Jaimye (Samuel) Kelly, of the Cattaraugus Reservation, several half brother and sisters, and a life companion; Carolyn Silverheels, of the Cattaraugus Reservation.

There will be no visitation. Private ceremonies will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
