Brett Brooks

Brett Brooks, age 41, of 5972 Star Rout 417, Kill Buck, New York died unexpectedly Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born June 5, 1972 in Gowanda, New York, he was the son of Marlene Kettle Brooks and the late Clifford "Junior" Brooks.

He was a member of the Tonawanda Band of Senecas and the Wolf Clan and a member of the Cold Spring Longhouse.

Mr. Brooks had attended Salamanca High School.

He was employed doing masonry work for several years.

Surviving besides his mother are: 2 daughters, Brianna Brooks, Cora Brooks, both of Salamanca, NY; 4 sisters, Mona Logan, Kill Buck, NY, Joni Brooks, Salamanca, NY, Sharon Brooks Whitney, Salamanca, NY, Rhonda George, Salamanca, NY; 1 brother, Terry Brooks, Salamanca, NY; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; a companion, Chantelle Osterhout; and he parented Brandon Francis and Blaize Osterhout.

He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Arthur Kettle, Clifford "Doby" Brooks III, and Dennis Brooks.

Friends may call at the family home, 5972 Star Route, Kill Buck, NY beginning Saturday and continuing through Sunday.

Services will be held at the family home, 5972 Star Route 417, Kill Buck, New York on Monday at 10 a.m. with Kory Dowdy, of the Cold Spring Longhouse, officiating.

Burial will be in the Brooks Family Cemetery.
