Dorothy Finch

Mrs. Dorothy Finch, age 71, of Highland Avenue, Salamanca, New York died early Wednesday morning, December 12, 2007 at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.

Born on March 24, 1936 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Raymond & Lauretta Crooks Geiger.

Mrs. Finch worked at Fullers Corner Store retiring in 1996. Previously, she had worked at Sam's Red & White Grocery Store.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and going out shopping.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Richard Finch, Highland Avenue, Salamanca, New York, Dennis (Lori) Finch, Killbuck, New York; a granddaughter, Denise Finch, a grandson, Richard Finch, both of North Carolina; 2 brothers, Donald (Verna) Geiger, Crawford Street, Salamanca, New York, Raymond (Dolores) Geiger, Swan Street, Salamanca, New York; a sister, Shirley Cappozi. Penn Yan, New York. Several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

A prayer service will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor of Holy Cross/ St. Patrick's Church, as celebrant.

Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Salamanca Public Library Memorial Fund.
