Dorothy Oliverio

Dorothy Oliverio, age 88, formerly of Salamanca, New York died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at The Pines of Olean, New York following a long illness.

Born on August 8, 1924 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Lawrence & Lillian Pierce.

She was a former member of the Holy Cross Athletic Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296 Women's Auxiliary, and the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time with her grandchildren, and trips to Florida.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Richard (Jackie) Oliverio, Anaheim, California, Daniel (Rose) Oliverio, Salamanca, New York; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Pierce, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews..

She was predeceased by a son, David Rocco Oliverio, 2 sisters, Thelma Pierce, Geraldine Pressley.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
