Edith Walaski

Edith Jane Walaki, age 100, formerly of 374 Washington Street, Salamanca, New York died Wednesday morning, January 30, 2008 at the Absolut of Salamanca.

Born on May 20, 1907 in Coalville, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ella Jeanne Mosher Burkett. She was married on October 22, 1928 in Smethport, Pa. to Mr. Martin Walaski who predeceased her on November 7, 1986.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jeovah's Witnesses. She will be remembered for the love of her family, baking bread, canning, gardening, and hard work. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are: 4 daughters, Ella Jeannine Feeback, Ladson, S.C. Catherine Pike, 374 Washington St., Salamanca, New York, Cathy (Everett) Farr, Ladson, S.C., Carolyn (Myron) Wilson, Newton Street, Salamanca, New York; Clay "Butch" (Gail) Talbot, Fair Oak Street, Salamanca, New York; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 3 sons, Martin Walaski Jr., James Walaski and Leo Walaski.

Friends may call on Saturday (February 2,2008 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 when funeral and commital services will be held with Scott Lane, elder at the Kingdom of Jeovah's Witnesses officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
