Ernest Bucktooth

Ernest Bucktooth Sr.,age 51, of Rochester, New York formerly of Jimersontown, New York died Tuesday (February 5, 2008) at Unity Hospital, Rochester, New York following a long illness.

Born on June 12, 1956 in Syracuse, New York he was the son of Floyd and Elaine Gibson Bucktooth of Jimersontown, New York. He was married on June 12, 1976 in Jimersontown, New York to the former Wanda Jackson who survives.

Ernest was a graduate of Salamanca High School Class of 1974. He had been employed with Thomson West in Rochester, New York for over 13 years. Previously he was employed at Highland Plastics, Keiffer Construction and Seneca Nation Housing Authority.

He was a member of the Onondaga Nation and the Eel Clan.

Ernest enjoyed his family, the outdoors and camping. He also enjoyed bowling and the casino and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving besides his parents and wife are: 2 daughters, Erin (Arthur Robinson) Bucktooth, Erica (Mark Robbins) Bucktooth both of Rocehster, New York; 2 sons, Ernest Bucktooth Jr. and Fletcher Bucktooth both of Rochester, New York; 1 sister, Ernestine Sunderlin, Jimersontown, New York; 2 brothers, Eric (Kathi) Bucktooth, Rochester, New York, Floyd (Corliss) Bucktooth III, Steamburg, New York; 6 grandchildren; several aunts,uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by: 1 brother, Fletcher Errol Bucktooth and 1 nephew Floyd "Knuckles" Bucktooth IV.

Friends may call at the family home 3498 Center Road on Thursday after 4:00 P.M. and all day Friday.

Funeral services will be held at the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church on Saturday (February 9, 2008) at 2:00 P.M. with Kevin John officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, New York.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association of Western New York, Inc. 21 John Glenn Dr. #3, Buffalo, New York 14228.
