T. George Siafakas

Mr. T. George Siafakas, age 83, of Hardscrabble Road, Killbuck, New York died on Sunday evening, September 19, 2010 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born on June 30, 1927 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Themistocles and Mary Nolan Siafakas. He was married on January 4, 1964 to the former Amy Quattrone who predeceased him on October 10, 2003. Previously, he had been married to former Lucille Ficek who predeceased him.

Mr. Siafakas built, owned and operated The Pyramid Inn in Killbuck, New York for the last 31 years. In 1969, he opened Siafakas Trailer Park in Killbuck, New York. He was a retired truck driver working for the former Airco Trucking Company, Olean, New York, McKay & McCloud Trucking, and Wooster Trucking. He had owned and operated Higharch and Keystone Gas Stations and Siafakas Tire Shop on Broad Street in Salamanca, New York.

He was a life member of the Killbuck Volunteer Fire Department. His love was his family, backhoe, dump truck and his side kick, Bandit.

Surviving are: 2 sons, David G. Siafakas, David A. (Tracey LeBlanc) Siafakas, both of Killbuck, New York; a daughter, Beth Siafakas, Killbuck, New York; 5 grandchildren, Jason Siafakas, Lindsay Sifakas, both of Killbuck, New York, Rachael White, Little Valley, New York, Derek LeBlanc, Christina LeBlanc, both of Killbuck, New York; 6 great grandchildren, including Mariah Downey and Summer Downey, both of Killbuck, New York; 2 brothers, Richard Siafakas, Thomas Siafakas, both of Killbuck, New York; 2 sisters, Jenny (Ralph) Schine, Killbuck, New York, Alameta Bergamon, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Jamie Eddy, Killbuck, New York.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jack Siafakas.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.

Funeral and committal services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10 A.M. with Rev. Michael Lonto, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, officiating

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
