Abu B. Ramadhan

Abu B. Ramadhan, 77, of Salamanca, NY died Saturday, May 9, 2026 peacefully at home following a long illness.

Born June 26, 1948 in Buffalo, NY, he was one of twelve children of the late Obidiah and Mary Patterson Ramadhan. He was married in 1981 to the former Clara McMahon, who survives.

He was a graduate of West Valley High School, Class of 1966, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Fredonia University.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1970-1972 during the Vietnam Era in Germany. He then served in the Army National Guard for several years.

Abu had been employed as a counselor with the New York State Division for Youth in Great Valley until his retirement. After retirement, he worked seasonally at both Holiday Valley and Holimont.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and barbecuing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Surviving besides his wife are: two daughters, Atiya (Josh) Ramadhan, Carrollton, NY, Yasmine (Joshua) King, Saranac Lake, NY; six grandchildren, Kamar Milliner, Matthew Milliner, Kamil Milliner, Amaya Milliner, Ella King, Ethan King; a brother, Allee A. Ramadhan, MD; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Maryama Ramadhan, three sisters, Maryama, Sahira, and Zareyfah, and seven brothers, Obidah, Arthmard, Shagara, Ezaldeen, Thyleb, Nasar, and Muhummed.

At his request, there will be no visitation.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
