Lisa Kennison

Lisa Kennison 52, of Salamanca, NY died Thursday morning, May 29, 2025 at home following a long illness.

Born March 24, 1973 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of Lester Jr. “Kenny” Kennison and the late Carol Sunderlin Kennison.

She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Bear Clan.

Lisa was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1991.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of lottery tickets. She also enjoyed the outdoors, campfires, and watching wildlife.

Surviving are: a daughter, Brittany (Chris DuPont) Chapman, Oswego, NY; two sons, Jordan (Taylor Wilson) Kennison, Brendon (Courtney Borden) Chapman, both of Salamanca, NY; three granddaughters, Niomi Chapman, Salamanca, NY, Breanna Chapman, Oswego, NY, Daisy Chapman, Salamanca, NY; four grandsons, Garrett Anderson, Oswego, NY, Ryder Chapman, Hunter Chapman, all of Salamanca, NY, Jax Kennison, Salamanca, NY, Xander Farnham, Oswego, NY; three sisters, Diana Kennison, Jody Kennison, both of Salamanca, NY, Michelle Rockwell, Kill Buck, NY; a grandmother, Helen Kennison, NC; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Lynn Marie Kennison.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 12 – 1pm, at which time funeral services will be held with Deacon Michael Anderson officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
