William Cromwell Edwards
William Cromwell Edwards, 92, of Piseco, NY, passed away on November 11, 2025.
Born May 23, 1933, Bill was the oldest son of the late Frank and Charlotte Cromwell Edwards.
He was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School, Class of 1952, and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Miami University Ohio and Master’s from SUNY Oneonta.
Bill proudly served his country in the 82nd Airborne. He taught Math for 27 years at Lake Pleasant Central School, volunteered with the Piseco Fire Department, Piseco Ambulance Corps, and Speculator Lions Club. He served as President of the school board, and was involved in many community events. A self-taught handyman, he enjoyed working on many construction projects in the Piseco community and beyond.
Bill is survived by his three sons, William C. (Cheryl) Edwards Jr, Thomas F. (Jackie) Edwards, and Christopher J. (Jamie) Edwards; grandchildren, Peyton, Kristle (TJ), Thomas, Samuel, Benjamin, and Christopher; great-grandsons, Terrell and Trenten; sister, Charlotte Edwards Minich; former wife, Sandra Edwards; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his sister, Susan Edwards Psimer, and first wife, Jane Kelly Edwards.
Bill will be remembered for his friendship, enthusiasm, love of his family, community, and country, as LOTEC (Leader of the Edwards Clan), and above all, being a devoted father to his three sons. He will always be their hero.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Piseco Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 1, Piseco, NY 12139. The family also wishes to thank Fiddlers Green Manor in Springville, NY for their special care and kindness.
There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will take place this summer near the Piseco Lake home he built and adored, where generations of family and friends have enjoyed the original Edwards camp, which recently celebrated 100 years of memories.
